India Tourism detinations

Coorg or Kodagu is a tiny district in the southwest of India’s Karnataka State in South India. The Western Ghat mountains cleaves the district into a series of hills, the highest rising over 1200 metres. The earliest mention of Coorg is found in the Tamil Sangam literature of the 2nd century AD.

ABBEY WATER FALLS IN COORG
The Abbey waterfalls are located at Madikeri in Coorg or Kodagu district in Karnataka state, India.
The Madikeri stream, also called Muttaramuttu, falls 21.3 meters between huge boulders into a deep rocky valley to form this picturesque waterfall called Abbi falls (abbi means waterfall in Kodavatalk).
